Karen Bell, violin, is a graduate of McGill University in Commerce. She began her violin studies in Montreal at the age of six and perfected her studies throughout her college and university years with Eva Swenssen (MSO), Margaret Lysy (Royal College, London), Andrée Azar (Conservatoire de Musique de Montréal, MSO) and Bin Yu Zhou (Asst Prof. Mauricio Fuks, McGill University).
She is a founding member of Trio Amore and performs in L'Ensemble Sinfonia de Montréal under the leadership of Maestro Louis Lavigueur. She teaches violin and viola to children and adults of all levels, runs violin programs in local elementary schools in Montreal and has coached chamber music for children and beginner adults at the CAMMAC Music Centre, located in the Laurentians, Qc.
Kate Herzberg, flute, has completed studies in flute performance at McGill University in Montréal and at the Conservatoire Nationale Superieure de Musique in Paris. She has been the flautist of The Musica Nova Ensemble and The Estria Woodwind Quintet since 2002 and she is also a founding member of The McGill Conservatory Woodwind Quintet. Kate Herzberg is an active freelance flautist within the city of Montréal and she has been featured on the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation's radio program "Two New Hours".
